Today marks one week since we opened your community shop and café. We checked in for an update with the shop manager, Liam.

“We are so happy to be open! Thank you to everyone who worked hard to get us to this stage. It’s been a really successful first week and takings have met our expectations. There have been a few teething problems, most notably being cash only as the card machines are still not in place. We expect this to be solved mid week. We’ve been astounded by the popularity of the café cakes, which we are having to buy in most days. I’ve been ringing the supplier (Kett’s Hill Bakery) to get more sent over! Another piece of good news was that today we were awarded 5 stars for food hygiene, which the team are rightly proud of”

A quick reminder on our opening hours

Your community shop opens at 8am, and will be open Monday to Friday: 8.00am to 6.00pm, Saturday: 8.00am to 6.00pm, and Sunday: 10.00am to 4.00pm
The café has slightly shorter hours, Monday to Friday: 8.00am to 5.00pm, Saturday: 8.00am to 4.00pm, Sunday: 10.00am to 3.30pm
